Forest Bloom Part-time 2-day School

This fall will be our third year offering outdoor preschool and our second year as Forest Bloom. We are educators with many years of experience in Reggio-Inspired programs in San Francisco. We have created an intentionally small program for children which will support their desire to play, learn and explore in nature. We also offer outdoor art, music, mud kitchen, yoga and much more! The preschool years should be full of wonder while at the same time fostering a child’s innate desire to connect with the world. in our open air classroom the children become a community of learners whose ideas are always welcomed and respected.

Our program has us moving through the park each day, but we also know that children need a consistent flow of the day and need opportunities to make choices about their play. The children are able to experience and appreciate the natural beauty and how the parks changes during the year. Children learn to interact with others and participate in small group projects. A big component of early childhood is social/emotional learning; at Forest Bloom children learn to regulate their emotions, negotiate complex social situations and take risks while learning to connect with nature and how to care for each other and how to protect our earth.

Additionally, our amazing team of educators include an agriculturist specialized in botany, a ukulele-toting music teacher, Ms. Bee Well, our yoga teacher who always has her hand puppets with her, and an artist who's also an avid skateboarder. Together we will pool all our talents to give the children an incredible learning experience unlike any other!
